[11U Armour Baseball] Strong Showing at Elite World Series

11U Armour Baseball ended their outstanding run at the 2009 USSSA Elite World Series with a tough loss to Twelve Baseball (8-0).

Armour began the day with a win against the #2 ranked Dallas Patriots (4-2) and was riding high into their first rematch against Twelve Baseball. Behind the strong pitching of Hayden and Blake and an offensive explosion, they went on to win 9-1, which set up the rubber match. Unfortunately, Twelve Baseball came out on top.

Congratulations to 11U Armour Baseball for representing Colorado and Armour Baseball well at the 2009 Elite World Series! We are so proud of your accomplishments and look forward to more great things from this team in 2010!!

[11U Armour Baseball] Elite World Series Update

The 11U Armour Baseball is still alive in the 2009 Elite World Series. After a tough loss to Twelve Baseball (9-0) on Thursday, Armour came back strong this morning to defeat a solid Dallas Patriots team 4-2.

This big win sends Armour Baseball to the final 8 teams of the Elite World Series and sets up a rematch with Twelve Baseball. Game time is 10:00 EST. Follow game updates on Twitter and good luck Armour!

[11U Armour Baseball] Elite World Series Bracket Play Update

Congratulations to 11U Armour Baseball for another big win at the Elite World Series! Behind the solid pitching of Dominic and Blake, Armour defeated a solid Alabama Bombers team 9-5 in a lightning-delayed game. The boys are off to a strong start, as they remain undefeated in bracket play. Next up: Armour v. Twelve or West Plains Nike Co at 12:00 pm on Thursday, August 6. Go Armour!

[11U Armour Baseball] Elite World Series Bracket Play Begins

Congratulations to 11U Armour Baseball for winning their first game in bracket play at the 2009 Elite World Series! Armour defeated the Greenville Titans 10-0 behind strong pitching and hitting.

Armour's next game is scheduled for 6:00 EST today against the Alabama Bombers. Rain has been playing a factor in this year's Elite World Series, as many games have been delayed due to the wet weather. Sounds like the clouds are rolling in again, so let's hope the rain holds off. Good luck Armour!

[2009 11U Armour Baseball] Elite World Series Update

The very strong 11U Armour Baseball team is in Orlando and ready for the Elite World Series! Games began Sunday, August 2 and pool play continues through Monday, August 3. As of this posting, our 11 year olds are 1-1, losing a close one to Beaver Valley Red and beating the Lehigh Valley Stealth 9-5.

Armour Baseball's final pool play game is at 10:30 pm eastern time tonight, thanks to a rain delay. Good luck Armour!

Armour Baseball tryouts for the 2010 season will be held August 16, 2009. For 2010, Armour Baseball is growing and will field teams in the 8-14 year old age groups, including two 14 year old teams. Players must register for tryouts and will receive an e-mail with tryout time and location on August 12. Age groups listed below refer to player ages as of May 1, 2010.
